In the beginning of 1990, Amon changed their name to Deicide.
The Hoffman brothers started using the Amon again in 2007, a few years after being kicked out of Deicide. The demos listed here are really Deicide releases.
Aside from the awesome intro, the insanely raw and brutal music, the vocals on this album are definately inhuman. I always here people talk about how inhuman Lord Worm, Ruban Rosas(Devourment) or Jaime (Brodequin) sound on the mic, but GLEN BENTON tops them all off on here. I don't know how to describe these vocals, they sound nothing like Deicide ever put out on CD, and sound nothing like any other band I've heard. His vocal style changed a lot on the Sacrificial demo, which was more like the self titled album. These vocals sound like a demonic pitbull vomiting into the mic really fast. The music is raw, extremely brutal and fast. The lyrics, well, this is Deicide (although they were called "Amon" on the demos), I don't need to talk about the lyrics.
Fans of raw death/black/speed metal, check out this demo. It was re-released on CD along with the Sacrificial demo and is called "Amon: Feasting the Beast".
